Production has finished on the Renault Cliosport 197 F1 Team R27, the company has announced.
The 500th and final model was given to James Brookes, a motor fan who comes from a family of Renaultsport enthusiasts, after a friend recommended him to the firm through its Community website.
Mr Brookes lost his brother Will in an accident in September and the vehicle will now become a tribute to him.
Mr Brookes commented that he was "overwhelmed" by the gesture and thanked Renault.
He said: "This is a very special car, built in memory of a very special person and it will be enjoyed as he would have wished."
The first Renaultsport model was produced by the French vehicle firm in 1999.
Typical features of the Renaultsport include a 2.0-litre petrol engine, as well as three doors. In addition, they are hatchback models.
