Nissan reveals European sales figures for October

Statistics from Nissan have revealed the volume of vehicles the automaker sold during October.

Consumers picked up 50,048 units across the continent – a 21.9 per cent increase on the same period last year.

One highlight was the firm’s performance in Russia, where 11,967 Nissan vehicles were sold, representing a 34 per cent hike on October 2006.

It added that so far this year Nissan has distributed 472,117 of its automobiles, which marks a 5.4 per cent rise on 12 months earlier.

"Once again, sales were up for the seventh consecutive month due to the continuing success of the compact cross-over Qashqai as well as the new X-Trail which was launched fully in September," commented the firm.

Meanwhile, the Marin Independent Journal has commented that Nissan is looking to join up with a dealership in the region.

The forecourt will be shared with Audi and Volkswagen at Sonnen Motorcars.
