Mazda will be offering a pair of limited-edition ‘summer specials’ this year and describes the new models as "affordable, sporty and stylish".
Tamura versions of the Mazda3 and Mazda6 will be based on popular variants of five-door hatchback TS models, with a range of exterior enhancements including new alloy wheels.
Among the Mazda3 1.6 Tamura’s equipment range is a body-coloured sports styling kit, including front and rear aero bumpers and a rear spoiler; front fog lamps; a chrome exhaust trim and unique Tamura exterior badging.
This car is powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine with a five-speed gearbox and will have a limited launch of 700 models.
The Mazda6 Tamura will offer more power, with a two-litre engine and six-speed gearbox, offering speeds of up to 130mph and additional equipment reportedly worth £3,441.
A sports styling kit similar to the one on offer in the 3 range is available with the larger model, as well as twin chrome exhausts and 17-inch alloy wheels. Only 1,200 versions of this car will be produced.
Coming as standard with the Mazda6 Tamura is climate-control air conditioning, a CD audio system with steering wheel-mounted controls and a piano black centre console.
