Mazda reveals family-friendly new vehicle

The Mazda5 has been made even more of a family-friendly vehicle for 2008.

According to the automobile manufacturer, the car is more fun to drive, with a revised engine and lower engine speed of 4000 rpm which allows for maximum torque.

Its two sliding doors now have an opening width of 700 mm and can be operated by the driver from his or her seat.

Furthermore, Mazda has implemented some new features which make the vehicle quieter inside, including a multi-resonator which reduces engine noise, in addition to insulation in the roof to cut down what can be heard from outside.

"Demand for Mazda’s popular multi-activity vehicle, the Mazda5, with its unique dual sliding rear doors, is sure to rise next year with the introduction of a significantly improved model that will be even more family friendly," said the firm.

Mazda is an affiliate of Ford Motor Company and was founded in 1920.
