Honda Named Greenest Brand

Honda has been named by EcoVelocity, the UK’s green motor show, as the brand perceived to be the most eco-friendly by British motorists. In the race for green brand credentials, Vauxhall was second, Nissan third, Mia Electric fourth and Toyota fifth.

Branding is all very well, but Vauxhall was the car that EcoVelocity visitors said they were most likely to buy within the next 12 months. Toyota was the second most likely choice and BMW third.

Further research revealed an interesting split when it comes to men and women. Giles Brown, EcoVelocity managing director, explained:

“There may well be some arguing before a buying decision is made – men placed Honda at the top, followed by Toyota and Vauxhall, while women put Nissan at the top of their list, followed by Vauxhall, with Peugeot and Honda in joint third place. The Vauxhall Ampera was certainly one of the stars of the show, it’s a vehicle that delivers a no-compromise option for motorists wanting to purchase a greener and cleaner vehicle.”
