Those looking for a car at the lower end of the price scale could be tempted by the Hyundai Amica 1.1 Atlantic, which the manufacturer says is "difficult to beat".
It costs under £5,000 and comes complete with a five-year warranty package, which could be a winning combination for many potential car buyers.
The Amica is fairly compact but has a boot capacity of 220 litres and 52 miles to the gallon, meaning it could be ideal for city driving.
In addition, a host of features including central locking, driver’s airbag, CD player and power steering make it a vehicle chock-full of gadgets and gizmos to make driving that bit more comfortable.
Meanwhile, Hyundai recently unveiled a special edition of one its bigger models.
The Sante Fe Limited comes with £1,000 of extras and is available as a five or seven-seater.
