Honda is looking to steal a march on its rivals with the launch of its new Accord.
The revamped model is wider and slightly lower than its predecessor, with a sportier feel.
All engines are fully compliant with Euro 5 emission standards, while the diesel model will be the first to feature Honda’s i-DTEC second-generation engine.
The i-DTEC boasts more efficient gas circulation, multi-stage fuel injection and a particulate filter for lower emissions.
Honda says that the lower centre of gravity offered by the new Accord will provide better handling and an improved driving experience.
A number of safety features, including Honda’s Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), are standard across the range.
