The award for Best Car Advertising Campaign at the Motor Trader Industry ceremony has gone to Nissan for their Qashqai efforts.
Held at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, adverts by both Ford and Skoda were passed over in favour of Nissan’s Urbanproof commercial which depicts a skateboard weaving in and around a city to highlight the robustness and dexterity of the Nissan Qashqai.
Curtis Hutchinson, editor of Motor Trader, remarked: "The winner in this category is chosen by our editorial team and is awarded to a campaign which is original, memorable and has prompted car buyers to visit dealerships."
He went on to state that the Qashqai adverts were "original, entertaining and memorable" with Nissan managing to stick to the brief that involved replacing "two models and attract new customers to the brand".
Since the Nissan Qashqai was introduced to the market back in February of this year, almost 8,000 units have been snapped up.
The Nissan X-Trail, which is to be released in September, shares the same platform as the Qashqai.
