Ford parts service launched online

Ford has announced that its new Parts Plus website has been launched to promote its after-market parts scheme.

The service will have the advantage of offering original equipment parts and will offer services to independent motor traders (IMTs) and bodyshops.

According to Ford, original parts are easier and quicker to fit than some non-original components and also manufactured to the company’s specifications, guaranteeing reliability.

Available on the site will be details on the importance of using original Ford parts, information about the components on offer and a dealer locator.

Axel Wilke, European marketing director for Ford’s customer service division, said: "Our new Ford Parts Plus website will be Ford’s online link to trade customers, recognising the increasing importance of the internet in the automotive repair business.

"Ford Parts Plus has become a strong brand and proposition for parts trade customers in Britain and across Europe since its launch in 1994."

According to Mr Wilke the facility will become a "professional delivery service" within Ford’s business and be the preferred source of genuine parts for many IMTs and bodyshops.
