Ford is leading the way in the small car market thanks primarily to the Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta, a reviewer has stated.
Writing for East Kilbride News, Steve Hughes believes that the trick to creating the ideal small car is to include all the features synonymous with larger cars in a smaller package.
However, he argues that this must be done "without compromising driving dynamics, comfort, safety or equipment".
Mr Hughes considers the Focus and highlights that motorists are offered a great selection of choice, alongside a host of sought-after features.
The choice of a motorist begins at whether they want three or five doors, a hatchback, saloon or an estate, to a choice of petrol engines ranging from 1.4 to 2.0-litres, alongside a selection of diesel engines.
Furthermore, all the models in the Focus range have received a top safety rating, while features such as traction control, electric windows, alloy wheels and metallic paint and front and side airbags are all available.
A review of the Ford Focus by Top Gear highlighted the fact that it is "one of the most complete cars on the road today".
