‘Style icon’ Fiat 500 to appear at London Design Festival

Car manufacturer Fiat will show off its "manifesto for the future" when it brings its 500 model to the capital for the first time.

The vehicle is representative of the company’s design plans for the next few years and it has already received high critical acclaim for the motoring world.

Now, visitors to the London Design Festival will be able to see the car in pearl white when it appears in Tent London from September 23rd to 25th 2007.

According to Fiat, the vehicle is among the "leading players" when it comes to automotive design.

"The 500 will be contained in a specially-built mirrored glass case that, every six seconds, flashes bright light to reveal the car inside. It’s a fitting show for the 500," the company said.

Fiat was founded in Turin, Italy in 1899 and produces cars as well as buses and commercial vehicles.
