Citroen “continues to win plaudits”

Citroen is enjoying consistent popularity with motor industry experts, the automaker claims, and has recently been presented with six new honours.

Half of these accolades have been given to the new Grand C4 Picasso compact MPV by What Diesel Car? and Fleet World magazines.

Citroen’s diesel models have been enjoying considerable growth recently, with 40 per cent of all vehicles sold running on diesel.

Since the launch of the seven-seat Grand C4 Picasso and the five-seat C4 Picasso, three-quarters of the 6,000 models registered have been equipped with a diesel engine.

Commenting on the winner of its car of the year award, What Diesel Car? stated: "Citroen’s Grand C4 Picasso is a work of art, with plenty of space, pace and a space-age face.

"With clever technology it will even pick out a parking space for you. A well-deserved winner, miles ahead of the competition in terms of good-value, attention to detail and dynamic design."

Other Citroen successes in the What Diesel Car? awards included the C1, which was named the best budget option.
