New Citroen MPV lets drivers customise their cabin

Drivers will be given the chance to customise their cabin should they buy a new seven-seat Berlingo Multispace.

Owners of Berlingo VTR models fitted with the 1.6i 110hp and 1.6HDi 90hp engines can now buy a Family Pack option for as little as £800.

The package includes three individual, foldable and removable middle row seats and two additional back row seats, "completing its seven-seat capacity".

There is also the security offered by lateral airbags for the protection of rear passengers as well as a luggage cover, for when the boot is in use.

A handy 12V socket is also provided to buyers of the package.

As the seats are completely independent and removable the Berlingo will be more versatile than ever, allowing drivers to play musical chairs with the car’s interior according to their requirements.

One of its selling points is the high number of storage compartments it offers, such as the 100-litre boot space it has when all seven seats are in use.

This capacity can be enlarged to 650 litres when all five rear seats are folded.

The Berlingo has been sold since 1996.
