A Maserati owned by singer Jay Kay has won the top prize at a luxury sports car event in London this weekend.
Known for his collection of vintage and high-performance vehicles, Mr Kay – who fronts music group Jamiroquai – was awarded the overall Grand Prix in the Concours d’Elegance for his black Maserati A6 G54.
He also won the prize for Best GT at the Salon Prive event, which was held at the capital’s Hurlingham Club.
“I don’t feel like I deserve this,” he said. “I didn’t make it, Pietro Frua designed it and Maserati made it – I just drive the pretty girl!”
Jay Kay also took part in this year’s pan-European racing event, the Gumball 3000 Rally.
He drove a Maserati Quattroporte in the race, although his own collection of luxury cars also includes a Rolls-Royce Phantom, an Aston Martin DB5 and an Enzo Ferrari.
