Racing driver Jenson Button has launched a competition to design a new racing helmet.
The winning design will be manufactured in time to be worn during the British Grand Prix weekend of July 4th-6th.
The prize of a pair of grandstand tickets for the British Grand Prix, and the opportunity to meet Jenson Button at the event, has been donated by Autocar magazine and the Honda Racing F1 team.
Button said: “I will be choosing the winning design at the beginning of June and I’m really impressed with the standard of entries so far.
“It’s going to be a difficult decision. However, it is important I make the right decision as after the race I will be donating the helmet to one of the charities which I am a patron of, the ‘Make-A-Wish’ foundation.
“The helmet will then be put up for auction at a fundraising event.”
