Majestic 18th-century stone-built inn with friendly staff
At a glance
Dating back to 1773, this Innkeeper’s Lodge (The Fox House) has plenty of character and is located on a bend in Longshaw in the Peak District. Both Sheffield and Chesterfield are easily accessible. Each room, some with old beams and exposed brickwork, has a TV, desk, and tea- and coffee-making facilities as standard; family rooms are available. The wide-ranging menus feature something for everyone – the hearty pub favourites prove very popular.
