This fine property is an 18th-century former rectory, lovingly restored and maintained by the hospitable Emma Hewlett and her husband Mark. The house is located in wooded and beautifully landscaped gardens that are in themselves a popular visitor attraction. In the grounds there is a spa with an indoor heated swimming pool, and aromatherapy treatments are available The bedrooms are richly furnished in a mix of styles, but all have particularly comfortable beds. The drawing and reading rooms reflect 18th-century style and proportions, and there is an honesty bar. Dinner is available by prior arrangement, in what was the original dining room of the house, or in the conservatory in summer.
