Kincraig House Hotel

A charming country house set in landscaped grounds with sea views, the hotel has been totally refurbished in recent years. The restaurant, looking over the grounds to the Cromarty Firth, boasts a large original fireplace, while crisp white linen, sparkling glassware and fresh flowers all add to the ambience. Skilfully prepared dishes make use of the finest Scottish produce. Original presentation particularly appeals in a main course of grilled halibut with braised fennel, crispy polenta parcels and sauce vièrge, followed by an equally impressive tarte Tatin with excellent vanilla ice cream. The sympathetically restored lounge has open fires and comfortable seating, as does the bar, where informal meals are served.
