Description
A world away from the hustle and bustle of Halifax, this popular 17th-century inn enjoys an appealing and peaceful setting in the Shibden Valley beside Red Beck. You can dine in both the beamed lounge-style bars, warmed by log fires, and the candlelit loft conversion beneath a raftered ceiling and chandeliers, or even outside on the riverside terrace in summer. Expect an appealing, crowd-pleasing menu with imaginative modern twists to classic combinations using quality produce; take sea bream served with celeriac purée, a red wine sauce and crispy Parma ham. Quality bar meals complete the culinary picture.
