Description
A long established hotel, the Open Arms lies across the green from the 13th-century Dirleton Castle. Inviting public areas include a choice of lounges and a cosy bar, and you can eat in either Deveau's Brasserie or the fine-dining Library Restaurant. The latter has soft lighting, clothed tables and formal settings. Staff are helpful and friendly, and the menu offers a variety of carefully prepared dishes. Local flavours are apparent in rollmop herring with potato salad and herb oil, and pan-fried fillet of beef with haggis and wild mushroom jus.
