Description
From the groovy typographics of the frontage - which overlooks Swansea Bay - to the chic, modern interior (high-backed leather chairs, darkwood tables, artfully exposed brick, floor-to-ceiling feature radiators and a glass theatre kitchen), there's a young, funky, happening feel to this contemporary restaurant and coffee shop. Chef Bryony Jones - ex Fairyhill at Reynoldston - shows her pedigree here via an appealing modern menu that suits the sophisticated but welcoming, friendly venue. Quality, local free-range and organic produce feature where possible; think a loin of Welsh lamb served with a black olive mash and tomato dressing. Blackboard specials reflect seasonal changes and display the dessert list (a vanilla crème brûlée might head-up the list), while diners can bring their own wine for a small corkage charge.

Venue small and cramped when full; service rushed - distinct impression that staff wanted us out asap so they could go home. Not offered drinks - some had BYO but others would have ordered if asked; even had to ask for water. Food well presented and pleasant but plates brought out individually so first meals cool by time all guests served. Over-priced when venue and service considered - £65 for 3 courses for 2, without wine. Would not go again - much better places around for same money.
