The Greyfriar
User reviews
Predictable pub fare, somewhat overpriced - surprising given clientele dominated by local trademen judging by cramped car park. Service slow and staff surly. Manager not at all helpful. Seating uncomfortable. Altogether an unpleasant experience.

Another great sunday lunch for the family, accompanied by traditional ale's in a friendly atmosphere in this very popular pub - both with the locals and visitors. Portions are generous, the guest beers are worth trying and service is good whenever you go there, day or evenings.

Another great meal with the family, with good service and beers all in a friendly atmosphere in this popular pub - both with the locals and visitors alike. I've been visiting here for about 8 years and I've never had a bad meal or flat pint to date ! The guest beers are worth trying, although a couple aren't to my personal taste, regulars such as ESB and London pride always hit the spot. As someone who's visited many an establishment over the years, this pub is highly recommended.

The pub failed to live up to the description. We found the staff surly and indifferent. Our salads were soaked in a synthetic dressing, which made them inedible. My beefburger tasted like rubber. While 'children welcome' really meant 'children barely tolerated'. The pub is clearly popular with 'ladies who lunch' - I'd advise everyone else to give it a wide berth. I've enjoyed much better food in an army canteen.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the pub. Our group split up between here and the tea room next door, and we happened to make it in just before a the big rush at lunch. Loved the pub grub and the friendly atmosphere. Looking forward to visiting again next year.
