Glasfryn
Description
Built as a judge's residence in around 1900, later a farm and then divided into bedsits, this building was rescued by the present owners in 1999 and transformed into a wonderful pub. It attracts a variety of visitors from farmers and business people to holidaymakers along the north Wales coast. Outside, the newly landscaped garden is maturing well, while inside is a bright open space with lots of polished wooden tables and chairs. Puddings and cheeses are not to be missed. The comprehensive daily menu runs from sandwiches and snacks through to meals such as beetroot gravad lax followed by crab and prawn noodles with lime and chilli; or perhaps Welsh lamb sausage with braised tomato beans followed by beer battered haddock with chips.

I cannot recommend this place enough if you are looking for restaurant quality food served in a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Brightly decorated and spotlessly furnished, this large pub sits on top of a hill with superb views of Mold. The food really is top notch and served with a smile. I had the slow roasted duck leg with cucumber and orange salad, and it just blew me away. Reasonably priced and with a good selection of beers, this is one place that should not be missed if you're in the area.
