Crossways Inn
Description
Run by Mike and Anna Ronca since 1973, this 17th-century coaching inn is an integral part of village life. The interior is warmly furnished and free of piped music, although live jazz, blues, Gaelic music and even opera get the green light some evenings. Blackboards display the day's temptations, from snacks to traditional pies, various curries and a selection from the grill. There's a family room, skittle alley and secluded garden.
