Description
This 'island' restaurant - overlooking the busy West Bay fishing port - was designed in the late 1970s by the well-known architect Piers Gough, and has been widely acclaimed for its use of natural materials. The business has been in the same family for some 44 years, with the emphasis today unsurprisingly based around fresh fish and shellfish - mostly from local waters - alongside an intelligent, simply-cooked approach. Take Lyme Bay dressed crab, Devon rock oysters, or perhaps a fillet of brill served with crispy spinach and a sorrel sauce. Meat and vegetarian options are offered on the daily specials list.
