Spend a day with an AA Patrol

You’ve seen our iconic yellow and black vans traversing the motorway, but have you ever wondered what it would be like to spend a day on call as an AA Patrol? Now’s your chance.

We’re offering one member the exciting opportunity to accompany an AA Patrol in his or her region. This will enable you to spend the day out and about on the road as your patrol attends breakdowns and recoveries.

Our patrols work within a 62-mile radius of their homes and complete repairs in under 30 minutes on average, so you’ll be sure to experience a busy and varied day as your host moves from one breakdown to the next.

With over 3.5 million breakdowns attended a year by the AA – that’s around 10,000 every day – the job is demanding yet rewarding and your host is certain to have plenty of interesting, amusing and moving stories to tell.

Terms and conditions

 

1. The prize offers one member the chance to accompany an AA Patrol for the day in your region.

2. The free prize draw is only open to members who register with AA Rewards and is not open to AA staff or members of their household or any agencies connected with this promotion.
3. It is a condition of the competition that the entrant agrees to be bound by these rules, and in particular that the decisions of the AA and the judges on any matters whatsoever arising out of or connected with the competition are final. 
4. The winning member will be required to sign a health and safety declaration form prior to the event taking place.
5. All entrants agree to take part in any publicity related to this prize draw and to the disclosure of their name and county. By entering, entrants agree to be contacted in the future with marketing.
6. The closing date for entries is 5 August 2012. The winner will be notified by 7 August 2012 by email or telephone.
7. Prize is as stated and there is no cash alternative to the prize offered. Prize is non-transferable. No purchase is necessary. Only one entry per person.

9. The winner will be the first name picked at random from the entries after the closing date. In the unfortunate event of the prize offered not being available, a prize of similar value will be substituted at the discretion of the AA.
