63 Tay Street
63 Tay Street,
PERTH,
PH2 8NN
This modish contemporary restaurant in the historic riverside heart of Perth has a loyal local fan base. Views of the Tay make it a well-supported lunch spot, while dinner is a rather more sophisticated, formal affair, ably orchestrated by skillful waiting staff; the high-ceilinged dining room is a setting of understated neutral elegance enlivened by a changing cast of artwork on the walls. Chef-patron Graeme Pallister is a local, whose modern Scottish cooking brims with imaginative flair and plenty of Perthshire's peerless produce. Sea-fresh Mull scallops are a perfectly executed starter, partnered with lentils and ham, and a chilli galette; then comes local lamb, braised and served together with roasted loin, parmesan dauphine and Madeira-braised vegetables. To finish, chocolate soufflé comes with aniseed ice cream and bittersweet custard.

Simply outstanding food, was recommend to us by quite a few people and we decided to give it a try back in May and have gone regularly since. For us the best restaurant in Perth and taking on some of the best in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Service is great and a very good wine list.
