There are seven restaurants and bars to choose from in the ANdAZ Liverpool Street London, to give it its full name, one of which is this take on a New York brasserie. It has its own entrance and with its open-to-view kitchen and massed ranks of tables it fulfils the brasserie brief. Open all day from breakfast to dinner, the carte offers up clam and mussel bisque to start, followed by pappardelle enriched with a rich ragout of slow-braised lamb. Steaks are cooked on the grill and served up with traditional sauces, burgers are de rigueur given the American USP, while a fishy main course might be roast stone bass with Thai green curry sauce with clams.
