Just a short drive from Dundee, the Landmark is a modern hotel with a leisure club, luxurious bedrooms and a crowd-pleasing restaurant. The Garden Room restaurant is housed in a conservatory overlooking the hotel grounds. Well-spaced tables and subdued lighting in the evening set the mood for a menu of two halves: creative Scottish cuisine alongside more straightforward comfort dishes (think spaghetti carbonara and garlic bread) covers all the bases. Dig into seared breast of wood pigeon with apple and pearl barley risotto, followed by a perfectly cooked grilled fillet of halibut with a macadamia nut crust, celeriac and parsnip dauphinoise and green pea velouté. Finish with a superb dark chocolate delice and white chocolate sorbet.
