Description

This Edwardian country house has been sensitively restored and is a popular choice with the many tourists lured by the area's reputation for good shooting, fishing, golf and whisky. Three dining options are on offer: a bustling bistro, a café-bar overlooking the pool, and the formal Lorimer Dining Room, which delivers a modern British menu of solid, dependable fare with a sprinkling of traditional Scottish favourites. You might start with Cullen skink or hot-smoked roast and whisky-cured salmon, and then tuck into collops of best Scottish beef, pan-fried and served on a crispy haggis cake with a creamy malt whisky sauce.
