The New Flying Horse

With a 400-year-old history, this village inn oozes original charm with its low ceilings, black beams, open brickwork and large open fireplace. In winter snuggle up by the fire, savour a pint of Late Red and select a couple of classics from the menu, such as sea bass with fennel and red pepper risotto and roast pheasant with fondant potato and parsnip crisps. Very much the village local it has a rare bat and trap game, and a stunning WWII 'Soldier's Dream of Blighty' garden which won an award at the 2005 Chelsea Flower Show.
