The Hare

A late 19th-century inn mid-way between Wantage and Didcot, modernised in the 1930s by local brewers, Morland. The building's exterior features a colonial-style veranda and colonnade, while inside are original wood floors, beams and an open fire. Steaks, the house speciality, can be cut to any size to order. Jackets, baguettes, sandwiches and salads at lunchtime are superseded by more adventurous fare in the evening - the fish mixed grill, for example, includes marlin and barramundi.
