Copperfields

Copperfields bar is at the rear of the imposing Grand Hotel away from the hustle and bustle, where Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy always stayed when they played Newcastle's Theatre Royal. Worth a visit for the great views up and down the coast, as well as an extensive bar menu that includes butternut squash and sage risotto, chicken tagine, lamb stew, beer-battered haddock and ciabatta steak sandwich.
