Situated in one of Bedfordshire's most picturesque villages, the John O'Gaunt is a pretty village inn of character at the centre of the community and many rural walks. A guest ale features alongside the regular beers supplied in rotation from various breweries. Piped music is notable by its absence, though you may be encouraged to join in the regular folk music sessions; thirty different clubs and societies are hosted here. Good traditional fayre is on offer such as haddock in batter; chicken, spinach and mushroom lasagne; and beef with mustard sauce, plus various balti dishes. The pub has a large garden, and welcoming winter fires.
