Nags Head

From the garden the looming presence of North Hill, northernmost top of the stunning Malvern Hills takes the eye, if only momentarily, away from the panoply of delights that mark out this enterprising free house. Up to 14 micro-brewery marvels (including the pub's own St George's) adorn the bar, with an interior dotted with snugs, log fires and a magpie's nest of artefacts. The annual beer festival on St George's Day offers more than 40 real ales, and with a marvellous menu (try the Moroccan lamb or steamed sea bass) to enjoy, the hills can wait!
