This traditional coaching inn dates back to the 19th century and its close proximity to the M4 makes it a popular spot for those heading to nearby Maidenhead and Windsor. The wood-panelled lounge bar is furnished with leather chesterfields, and quality home-made food and real ales can be enjoyed in a cosy atmosphere with an open fire. Typical mains are North African-style chicken curry; home-made bolognese; and mushroom and spinach pasta. There are large gardens to enjoy in summer with a children's playground and petanque pitch.

A most excellent public house and good a place to eat. The most exciting thing about this place is that it improves with every visit. A business that seems to be aware that innovation is the only way to success. Traditional yet modern. Free wireless Internet. I give it a 5 but the management are working towards a 6 or higher.
