The Holly Bush

Holly Mount, Hampstead, LONDON, NW3 6SG

The Holly Bush was once the stables belonging to the home of English portraitist George Romney and became a pub after his death in 1802. The original panelled walls remain, and there are chandeliers in the restaurant. The building has been investigated by 'ghost busters', but more tangible 21st-century media celebrities are easier to spot. Depending on your appetite, the menu offers pies; chicken with black pudding; and fillet of pork wrapped in prosciutto. There has been a change of hands.
