The Cross Keys

1 Lawrence Street, Chelsea, LONDON, SW3 5NB

Established in 1765, this Chelsea pub can counted JMW Turner, Whistler, DG Rossetti and Dylan Thomas among customers. More recently it was co-owned by the sculptor Rudy Weller, who created the Horses of Helios and the Three Graces, prominently displayed in Piccadilly Circus. While at the Cross Keys, Rudy created 'a magical kingdom' throughout its four rooms, which comprise the bar, conservatory restaurant, gallery and a room at the top. The modern European menu tempts with foie gras terrine; red snapper; and corn-fed Provençal chicken. The bar menu includes chicken Caesar salad and roast beef ciabatta.
