Walpole Arms

Tucked away down narrow lanes on the edge of sleepy Itteringham, close to Blickling Hall (National Trust), this renowned rural dining venue has been bought by a local farming family. Re-opened in May 2012 following extensive refurbishment, the oak-beamed bar offers local Woodforde and Adnams ales on tap, while menus champion top-notch meats and produce from the family farm and local artisan producers. Typical dishes may include ham hock terrine with piccalilli; confit duck leg with braised chicory, Puy lentils and crispy bacon; and baked rhubarb and custard cheesecake.
