Description
Set on the edge of the Peak District National Park just a short walk from beautiful Carsington Water, this 17th-century inn has a wealth of original features including beamed ceilings, open fireplaces and church pew seating. Its past includes a visit from John Kennedy Jr and his wife; modern-day visitors can enjoy food made with excellent local produce: perhaps Derbyshire steak and ale pie or pan-fried liver and onions with red wine gravy, plus roast pheasant or game pie when in season.
