The Bull Terrier

Long Street, CROSCOMBE, BA5 3QJ

Originally called The Rose and Crown, this unspoiled village free house was first licensed in 1612 and is one of Somerset's oldest pubs. The pub changed its name to The Bull Terrier in 1976 but the building itself dates from the late 15th century, the fireplace and ceiling in the inglenook bar being added in the 16th century. One menu is offered throughout, including steak and kidney pie, and trout and almonds. In summer, enjoy the pretty walled garden. For those wanting to stay overnight, there are two bedrooms.
