The Lambton Worm

52 North Road, CHESTER-LE-STREET, DH3 4AJ

All six of Sonnet 43's core beers are on tap at The Lambton Worm. Sonnet 43 is Elizabeth Barrett Browning's best-known poem and the inspiration behind the Lambton operation; the pub seeks to answer the poem's opening question 'How do I love thee?' in its approach to food, drink and accommodation. The ales are paired with dishes of 'good honest food that makes the heart sing'. Braised beef brisket, for example, followed by home-made rice pudding, both match well with a pint of their Bourbon Milk Stout. If wine is preferred, more than a dozen are served by the glass.
