The Cross Hands

1 Staple Hill Road, BRISTOL, BS16 5AA

Located four miles from Bristol's busy city centre and convenient for the M32, this refurbished former coaching inn was built in 1853 and remains a draw for local families with its enclosed rear garden and children's play area. Well-kept Bath Ales Gem and Butcombe Bitter fly the flag for local breweries, and there are two real ciders on offer. As well as sandwiches, pizzas and burgers, there is a seasonal la carte with typical dishes including pork belly, mustard mash, courgette, onions and cider jus; or sea bream, mussel ragout, samphire and Jersey Royals.
