The Chimney House

This is primarily a family-friendly pub serving the local community, but word of mouth has spread its popularity beyond the neighbourhood. In addition to reliable Harvey's ales, the food is fresh, seasonal, and bought locally if possible. You'll find different menus for lunch and dinner, children have their own selections, and Sunday roasts feature prime Sussex pork, lamb and beef. Choices in the evening might include carrot and coriander soup, followed by pork tenderloin, creamy mash, choucroute of Savoy cabbage, and finishing with lemon and vanilla posset with blackberry sorbet.
