The West Bay

Station Road, West Bay, BRIDPORT, DT6 4EW

Built in 1739, this traditional bar/restaurant lies at the foot of East Cliff, part of the impressive World Heritage Jurassic Coast, and in the picturesque harbour of West Bay. The pub specialises in fish and seafood with the latest catch shown as blackboard specials. Perhaps choose Thai crab cakes with sweet chilli prawn butter; then bouillabaisse with a hot baguette. For meat eaters there's a good choice of steaks or maybe pot-roasted pork belly and cider jus. Palmers Brewery in Bridport furnishes the real ales, or you can ring the changes with a pint of Thatchers Gold cider.
