The Wheatsheaf Inn
BETWS-YN-RHOS,
LL22 8AW
Although the building dates back to the 1200s, The Wheatsheaf was licensed as a coaching inn in the 17th-century, serving the mail route between Conwy and Chester. The pub oozes old world character with oak beams and stone pillars. Bar snacks are served in addition to the restaurant menu, which makes good use of local produce. A starter of mussels in garlic and white wine might be followed by Welsh Black steak and ale pie.
