This picturesque pub on the banks of the Severn was taken over by a new owner in 2011 after being in the same family for over 400 years. Renowned for its beer festivals and real ales, serving them straight from the barrel, the beers are sourced from smaller, local and regional brewers and are changed frequently. They could include Bristol Beer Factory, Arbor Ales, Wicked Brew, Gloucester Brewery and Three Tuns Brewery. The pub also has a great selection of ciders supplied by Westons, Oliver's and Hartland Farmhouse from Gloucestershire and Herefordshire. Traditionally filled rolls, perhaps with home-made tomato chutney, form the hub of the simple but delicious food offering, available only at lunchtimes.
