"Myself and my family were really looking forward to our holiday in Cornwall over the Easter break.
"A whole week of sightseeing, swimming, relaxing and cream teas – what more could you ask for? We set off early on Good Friday and the weather was fairly typical for that time of the year with sunshine and showers. It was during one of these showers that the windscreen wipers on the car decided to go on holiday too.
"Luckily, by this stage we were not far from where we were staying, so I decided to carry on driving and simply stopped whenever the rain came.
"When we reached our destination I called the AA and they said that they would send a patrol out to see what the problem could be. A short time later, Stuart arrived in his AA van. It didn’t take him long to locate the problem – a fault with the wiper motor.
"He dismantled the part and said that he would have to order a new one and collect it from Truro. However, as it was a long bank holiday weekend, he wouldn’t be able to return and fit it until Tuesday. Well, that was no problem, we were on holiday and there was plenty to do and see without the car.
"Stuart was as good as his word, and come Tuesday he was back with the new part and fitted it so that the wipers worked as good as ever."
