How to apply for life insurance
Our Express Underwriting Service speeds up the application process, making it as convenient as possible for you to begin your life insurance protection.
Our UK based call handlers will support you through the application process and can arrange a suitable time to call you back when it's convenient for you to discuss personal and medical details.
Step 1
Complete the basic application form online, over the phone or request a paper application.
Step 2
One of our Express Underwriters will contact you at a convenient time to begin the full application process. You will be asked questions on the following:
- your lifestyle
- your height and weight
- your medical history, including serious illnesses and injuries
- If you're purchasing critical illness cover you will also be asked about serious illnesses suffered by members of your immediate family: your mother, father, brothers or sisters
Confidentiality: All medical information you give us will be treated with the strictest confidence and will only be used to assess your application and any future claims.
The insurer may write to your doctor or request that you attend a medical at your convenience and at no additional cost to yourself.
Step 3
If your request for AA Life Insurance is accepted, the insurer will then be in a position to start your policy immediately, or from a date of your choice. On commencement of your life insurance cover, your policy documents will be sent to you for safe keeping.
