Built in the mid-19th century by parliamentarian and landowner Lord John Tollemache, and now lovingly cared for by The Naylor Family, this Grade I medieval-style castle has been sympathetically renovated to provide high standards of comfort without losing original charm and character. Bedrooms and public areas retain many period features, and dining in the 1851 Restaurant is a memorable experience. Head Chef, Mark Ellis is passionate about using only the finest ingredients, sourced locally where possible. There is a host of excellent outdoor leisure activities; falconry and off-road Land Rover courses to name a few. The Tranquility Spa caters for those seeking a more serene experience.
